SVG is an acronym that stands for scalable vector graphics. Because of the vector format, SVG cut files can be scaled larger or smaller without losing any of their resolution (becoming pixilated or blurry).
Likewise, SVG files allow for 2-dimensional layering, which allows you to create layered projects with materials like iron-on, vinyl, paper, etc.
